Take your vows on our dream garden with the castle as the backdrop. Arrive at the venue on a Cinderella type chariot. If hot, marquee/tent will be setup on both sides of the aisle. After the wedding, depart the venue on a royalty choice Landau type chariot as the venue transforms to your dream reception. As guests entertain, transfer to the Aberdare park for a photo session. On return, make a grand entry into the reception via the Castle’s Grand Spill: as your bridal party rolls down, emerge from the balcony to acknowledge your guests before walking down the spill. Leisure activities for your guests around the castle and cocktail by the poolside before the evening party in the Castle’s Ballroom. Hold evening party & screening ‘memories are made of this’ in the dungeon/Ballroom. Disco runs through the night with bonfire. As Lord and Lady of the castle, retire at leisure to the Lord’s room. Commence a happy hereafter.
Centre for the arts
Tafaria centre for the Arts in this secluded rural environment offers an opportunity where arts & heritage thrive, collectors have a public outlet for their collections and where artists and creatives create in residence, things that delight people’s hearts and enrich their minds. The art residency programme is ideal for creative practitioners in need of a period of concentrated and collaborative work leading to an exhibition/installation, which is accessible to our guests and/or the local community. The centre has an open-air Roman type amphitheater, a gallery, art studios and workshops and artists quarters of residence.
Art exhibitions
Art exhibitions run at Tafaria throughout the year either by our artist-in-residence after the end of each residency or by established and upcoming artists. If you are a collector or an artist and you would like to exhibit your work at Tafaria centre for the arts, present and register your work at Kuona Collective – Dennis Pritt Road, Lokoni Lane or at Tafaria Castle.
Art residences
The residency programme is either fully sponsored by the Tafaria Foundation or self-sponsored. Both options are similar but those on self-sponsorship do not receive per diem, materials support and pay for meals and hotel accommodation. Further, self-sponsored residencies do not have to conform to our application criteria. Residency application is open to visual artists, creative writers, performing artists, designers etc who need periods of time when they can isolate themselves from their lives to simply write.
Collectors’ hub
The Collectors hub provides collectors across the entire creative landscape with a public outlet for their work. If you are a collector looking for an outlet for your work, either for sale, temporarily or permanently exhibition, connect with us and let your collections inspire the world here.
