President William Ruto Asserts Leadership and Commitment To Progress

President RutoPresident William Ruto reaffirmed his leadership and determination to steer Kenya forward during his visit to Nyandarua County, where he attended his first church service since the onset of anti-government protests. Addressing the congregation, President Ruto emphasized his control over his administration and described the challenges faced as valuable lessons, pledging to leverage these experiences to become a more effective leader.

The service, held at Ndogino AIPCA Church, took place just 5km from Ndururi Primary School, where recent protests by youth had necessitated the President’s removal by his security team. During his visit, President Ruto announced funding for the completion of the Ndogino AIPCA church, acknowledging the potential negative impacts of the ban on harambees on church projects. He committed to subjecting the law to public participation to gather Kenyans’ input on how leaders should support church initiatives.

President Ruto also addressed the issue of poisonous alcoholic drinks, warning police and Interior Ministry officials against permitting their sale. He emphasised the importance of the fight against alcoholism and announced changes in the National Police Service to enhance efficiency.

Highlighting the administration’s efforts to empower youth, President Ruto mentioned the availability of digital jobs across the globe and the provision of hostels in all TVETs. He also revealed that dairy farmers would receive Sh50/l of milk delivered to KCC, with Sh1 billion allocated to support the Kenya Cooperative Creameries.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua echoed the President’s sentiments, urging for affirmative action to address the neglect of Nyandarua by previous regimes. He stressed the importance of appointing credible individuals to the cabinet who respect and understand the needs of Kenyans. He also highlighted the ongoing battle against drugs and alcoholism, condemning the issuance of licenses to manufacturers of poisonous drinks and urging the President to intervene against those undermining the fight.

The AIPCA Church leadership expressed unwavering support for President Ruto’s administration. Ms. Reginah Mburu, the AIPCA Women Leader, and Bishop Mundia Kiboi pledged the church’s backing, urging the congregation to support and pray for the government.
