Golfing

The resort has a scenic 9-hole manicured golf course. In addition, it is interspersed with ponds, sand banks and is the only course bisected by the Equator in Africa. Further, the course has been redesigned to mirror international golfing standards, and has seen a new interest in corporate firms. Besides, the property’s picturesque landscape lends a serene atmosphere and ideal backdrop for teeing off, whilst the weather is perfect. Additionally, for corporate guests the club offers an additional fun night golf option on hole #1.

Spa

Surrounded by Mt. Kenya forest, bordering the 2nd highest mountain, Mt. Kenya, Riuki spa takes a bold approach to the spa treatment. Accordingly, it grabs its inspiration from the mountain elements providing a backdrop for a spa trip reminiscent of the textures and colours of the region. Further, infused with trendy architecture and measuring 550sqm., the spa features grounds for yoga, 3 rooms, steam and sauna, providing you a variety to choose from for that wellness experience. Also, the forest bordering the spa provides the perfect background. The Colobus Restaurant

Inspired by the Colobus Monkey found in the hotel, is the Colobus restaurant, an open grilled kitchen restaurant. Also, with live stations, get to watch our talented chefs prepare gourmet meals, as you enjoy the aroma from the flames and taste the bold, smoky flavours of the perfectly cooked dishes infused with locally sourced ingredients.

Specialised dining

Personalised dining experiences include breakfast on the slopes of Mount Kenya, an idyllic lunch at the Rose Garden and special service alfresco on the pond deck. Equally as impressive is the bush dinner with spectacular views of the lush foliage illuminated by lamps and lanterns on the banks of River Likii. Certainly, the Mawingo room offers an exclusive private dining room with a fireplace and walls accented with a collection of photographs featuring Hollywood actors and movie stars from yesteryear.

Facing the snow-capped Mount Kenya and overlooking the beautifully manicured grounds, the signature restaurant boasts a menu abounding with the incredible variety of foods that are farmed in Central Kenya. Certainly, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, this elegant setting features terrace and indoor dining around the original grand fireplace. Breakfast and lunch are served as buffet offering the best of what Kenya has to offer while dinner is served as a four course’s set menu with vegetarian options.

Conference

Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari club provides a comprehensive range of conference rooms, all-round secretarial services and audiovisual equipment. Kirinyaga Room, the largest of our four conference rooms accommodates up to 300 persons in theatre style while Tembo seats 14 around a board room table. Syndicate rooms, Colobus and Chui are adjacent to the main the conference room.

The hotel meeting rooms are well lit with sun day light and provide internet access, audio-visual tools, fine light settings and air-conditioning. We suggest the quaint little chapel for smaller private weddings which has a seating area of 15 guests. Afterwards, newly weds can indulge in our little extras with a nice breakfast on the slopes of Mount Kenya. Or they can just do nature walks, horse riding or an nice picnic on Lake Alice where Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton.
