Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort

On 60 hectares of grassland surrounded by trees and set among giraffes and waterbucks, this relaxed resort is in a complex of brick and wood makuti cottages on the shore of Lake Naivasha. It’s 8 km from Crescent Island Game Sanctuary and 120 km from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. An airy lobby with skylights and exposed wood beams encircles a vibrant garden and connects to a lounge bar and a restaurant. There’s also event space, and an outdoor pool with a kids’ section and a bar. 

Accommodation

Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort has 21 cottages built in a crescent shape, and each has 4 rooms, 2 on the ground and 2 at the top, which totals to 84 rooms. Two of these rooms are suitable for the physically challenged. Six of the 21 cottages have inter-connecting rooms on the ground floor. Featuring living rooms or balconies, the colourful 4-bedroom cottages offer TVs, mini-fridges and safes, plus en suite bathrooms, covered patios and lawn views. 

Rooms

The rooms at Naivasha Sopa Resort are spacious, airy and light as, the windows are all glass. They are tastefully furnished with mahogany colored furniture. There are mini bars in all the rooms, TV’s in 48 out of the 84 rooms, telephones and safes. Sopa Resort Ground floor rooms have 2 queen size beds and a sunken living room at the front which opens out on to the beautifully manicured lawns. They also have sunken bath tubs and bidets. Top floor rooms have 1 king size bed and in front of it has a beautifully balcony which faces the lawns as well. The bathrooms on this floor have shower cubicles and bidets.
