Standard gauge railway has transformed rail travel in Kenya and much of East Africa, offering a faster, more efficient, and modern mode of transportation. The SGR train, often referred to as the Madaraka Express, was introduced to relieve congestion on roads, reduce travel time between cities, and enhance economic integration.
